okay i know we all know what happens in the north seas around the arctic circle. the murdering of the seals. thats right innocent harmless seals that get beaten to death! its sickening! such a adorable, amazing cute little creatures. they are so small and yet so smart. the baby seals are so adorable and even the adult ones are. so why in hell would you kill them? thats fucking wrong!!! why not kill the fucking creatures that hunt them? why not kill the humans who kill them? isn;t murder all the same anyways either it be an animal or a human?

the statistics of harp seals just one of many kind of seals killed mercilessly just in canada alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 2003, the Canadian government announced the largest seal quota in history with a 3 year Total Allowable Catch (TAC) of 975,000 harp seals. In addition the hooded seal TAC remained at 10,000 per year.
The last time sealers killed this many seals (in the 1950s and 60s) the harp seal population was reduced by two thirds.
In 2001, an independent panel of veterinary experts performed post mortems on seal carcases at the hunt. In 42% of cases, they concluded that the seal did not show enough evidence of skull damage to guarantee unconsciousness at the time of skinning. That is, they could have literally been skinned alive.
97% of the seals killed in the commercial seal hunt are less than 3 months old; the majority is under one month old. Many pups have not eaten their first solid meal or taken their first swim at the time they are killed.

there are people who are told that they need to kill some seals (inside a reasonable quota and they CANNOT go over it), and its only for that reason. however, there are poachers who kill them for money.
People who kill them to lower the population, do it in a human and quick manner, so they dont have to die slowly.
but poachers, they only do it for money and kill them by beating them. Its a long and painful and messy death, and its the wrong way, but they dont care they only care about the money.
After a long discussion with my father, my senseless fury for stupid people who kill seals for sport was clarified. Killing seals was not a sport, but it is due to poachers, as I have said before.

Nearly 70 percent of Canadians holding an opinion are opposed to the commercial seal hunt. (Environics Research, 2005)
79 percent of UK residents believe that the annual Canadian seal hunt should be stopped and 73 percent support a ban on the import of seal products into Britain. (Opinion Research Business, 2005)
91 percent of people in Germany and 80 percent of people in France who are aware of the Canadian seal hunt oppose it. (MORI, 2002)
9 percent of American voters oppose Canada’s seal hunt. (Penn, Schoen & Berland, 2002)
In 2006 Mexico and Croatia banned all trade in seal products. In February 2006, the Italian government suspended all imports of seal products, and introduced a bill that will permanently end the trade.
In 2006, 213 members of the British House of Commons signed an Early Day Motion calling on the UK Government to introduce a ban on the import of and trade in all seal products. An international boycott of Canadian seafood products and tourism is now underway.

Though the killings of seals have been banned, there are still people out there who kill for money. Why is that? Because the area is not being watched closely enough. Us people in the more southern regions of Canada are disgusted by the killings, but do we do anything? We look away and do minimal amount of action to prevent it.

With this petition, It will be repeated to schools, to many organizations, and on this site.

we ask your assistance in signing the petition to show the government that they have the power to stop poachers, if only they try. They aren’t trying. now lets stop these sick bastards!!!!!!!!!
